Today's going to be a hot one. We'll hit in the mid-to-high scorching temps with a chance of afternoon relief. I set out with the intention of giving these babies more than enough water so they can survive and thrive another day.
If I can keep these little guys alive for the next 24 hours, I'll have pleasantly surprised myself once again. So, drown them in water and I'll keep them alive, right? Turns out, no.
Some plants like it moist, some like it when their roots can breathe. If you water them too much, they can drown and suffocate. Some need to work for their water supply so that their roots can settle.
Just like plants, things should be appreciated in moderation. Too much of a good thing can often be counter-productive, even harmful. Take, for example, wine. One glass of wine can lower my blood pressure. One bottle of wine? Noooot as good for my blood pressure.
Some plants need a little less w̶i̶n̶e̶ water, some need a little more. Too much or too little can be harmful. It's good to remember that all things need moderation.
OK plants, you win this round.
